The city of Stockholm did not let Alternativ Stad (Alternative City) rent the famous blue hall in the City Hall on Christmas.

Alternativ Stad wanted to arrange an alternative, non-commercial, Christmas celebration. The city says they did not want to compete with other private, non-profit arrangements. Alternativ Stad believes however that it was the fact that they have their origin in the 1968-movements that was not appreciated by the governing centre-right coalition.
